What counts as "work experience" for AUSA salaries?

Do clerkships count? What about firm experience? Does firm experience have to be in litigation? What about litigation-adjacent practices like bankruptcy or employment?

It's literally any legal experience, including clerkships and any practice area, either post-graduation or post-admission to the bar, I forget which (I know someone who started working before they took the bar and got credit for that, but I can't remember if that was for being an AUSA or their clerkship salary bump. However, b/c the feds do pay reviews in/around April, a couple months' work in the summer isn't likely to make any difference to where you fall - that is, you can't move up a grade until pay reviews in April, so it won't really matter if you started working in May of your graduation year or October of your graduation year).
